About the role - a snapshot:

Conduct meaningful interviews– Meet with individuals seeking to establish their freedom to marry in the Catholic Church and gather information to support marriage annulment and other Tribunal cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews with persons seeking to establish their freedom to marry within the Catholic Church.
  • Conduct interviews to gather evidence for marriage annulment cases and other Tribunal matters on behalf of the Associate Judicial Vicar
  • Maintain detailed, accurate and confidential records, notes and interview documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Ensure adherence to Canon Law requirements and Tribunal processes.
  • Provide administrative support and leave cover for Tribunal staff as required.
  • Support and promote the values, mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.

 

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain strict confidentiality. You will be highly organised, capable of working independently, and committed to providing a respectful and professional service experience.

A strong commitment to the mission, values and teachings of the Catholic Church is essential. Experience or qualifications in areas such as Law, Counselling, Education, or languages other than English would be highly regarded, as would previous experience working or volunteering within a Catholic organisation.

You will also require Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, a current National Police Clearance, valid WA Working with Children Check and a WA Driver's Licence.
