Vinnies WA is very excited to announce a new event designed to bring people and communities together while raising funds for thousands of Western Australians in need each year.

In recent times many of us have experienced disconnection and isolation.

In a statement released this week, the SVDP Society said that maintaining close relationships, having support, and staying connected to friends and family is vital, especially when times are tough.

For more than 65,000 Western Australians experiencing hardship each year, their only means of support is Vinnies WA.

The Vinnies Good Night In on Friday 7 May, is simply about staying in for the night with friends, family, or work colleagues and donating what you would have spent on a night out.

Participants can fundraise by hosting a night individually at home or perhaps as a large group or organisation.

There are endless ways to get creative and have fun such as games or movie night, dinner party or a sleep over, as well as connecting on the night through our live stream.

Vinnies Good Night In is designed to bring people and communities together.

The statement reinforced that sharing and giving will raise much needed funds for Western Australians in need.

Instead of a night of mini-golf or bowling, donors can provide a nutritious meal to a person in need for $25.

Fifty dollars would be equivalent to a night at the movies for two – but you can now provide local families basic food items they can use for a week or fuel to access essential services.

The cost of $100 is measured as the cost of dinner and drinks, which can instead help struggling families keep the power on and a roof over their heads.

Register your event to be able to tune into the livestream on the night to see how your Good Night In will make a difference, and to hear stories from West Australians supported through Vinnies Emergency Assistance program.
