Christchurch Earthquake Victim Remembered
Christchurch Earthquake Victim Remembered
Article by Fr Robert Cross
Everyone has been saddened by the footage of the 6.3 magnitude earthquake which devastated Christchurch on 22 February.
Among the many casualties is Neil Stocker.
Neil Stocker worked for the South Island Organ Company. This company was responsible for the dismantling and reinstallation of the Pipe Organ in St Mary’s Cathedral. At the time of the earthquake, Neil was dismantling an organ at the Methodist Mission Church in Durham St, Christchurch.
Archbishop Hickey extends his condolences to the grieving family and asks the loving Lord to be near them and all the people of Christchurch during this hour of great tragedy.
