ADMINISTRATOR – CATHOLIC PASTORAL CENTRE (CPC)

Administrator – Catholic Pastoral Centre (CPC)

Permanent, Part-time role (0.4 FTE)

Work Pattern: We are looking for applicants with availability to work Wednesdays and Fridays approx. 7.6 hours per day.

The Catholic Pastoral Centre (CPC) is one of the administrative centres of the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth. The Centre is in Highgate, Western Australia where a number of Church agencies are located.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide reception services by greeting and welcoming visitors and guests in a professional manner.
  • Perform general administrative duties including; email correspondence, document preparation, answering telephones calls, maintain office supplies, ensuring a well-equipped and organised work environment.
  • Provide administrative support to the Catholic Pastoral Centre Agency Managers, including document preparation, correspondence, meetings and record keeping.
  • Coordinate and support events held at Catholic Pastoral Centre, including meetings, morning teas and other functions.
  • Coordinate building maintenance activities, including scheduling repairs, servicing and contractor access.
  • Maintain office facilities, equipment, and administrative systems.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including enquiries, documentation, and internal processes.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, including finance and HR, to ensure administrative accuracy and efficiency.
  • Respond to enquiries from clergy, parish representatives, and the wider community in a professional and timely manner.
  • Contribute as an active team member to support the ongoing success of CPC initiatives and services.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • A willingness and capacity to support the Catholic ethos.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A Certificate IV Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A high level of discretion, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Requirements:

  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Valid Western Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Legal right to work in Australia
