This ancient order of Christian Chivalry exists to:  

- deepen the faith of its members through the practice of Christian Charity, in absolute fidelity to the Pontiff  

- aid the Charitable, Cultural and Social Work of the Church in the Holy Land, through the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem  

- support, preserve and propagate the Faith in the Holy Land  

- promote interest in this work among all Christians  

- sustain the rights of the Catholic Church in the Holy Land.  

Our Order is the only lay organisation of the Catholic Church charged with providing for the needs of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem to support the Christian presence in the Holy Land.  

The contributions made by the Knights and Dames of the Order are the main source of funding for the Patriarchal Institutions in Jerusalem and throughout the Holy Land.
