(formerly known as the Pontifical Mission Societies established over 180 years ago), is the Pope's official and universal mission aid agency for the Propagation of the Faith and the formation of seminarians in developing countries. It raises funds for the missionary work of Catholic parishes, schools and seminaries in the isolated, impoverished, war-devastated and marginalized communities of EVERY developing country world-wide. In this vein Catholic Mission represents 3 pontifical missionary societies:

Society for the Propagation of the Faith - Raises the funds necessary to sustain the missionary work and sacramental presence of Catholic parishes in the isolated, impoverished, war-devastated & marginalized communities of every developing country world-wide.

Society for the Missionary Childhood (Children's Mission) - Raises the funds annually for over 3,000 mission projects in child health, education and orphanages run by the Catholic Church through various diocesan & missionary orders in over 160 developing countries world-wide.

Society of St Peter Apostle - Raises the funds necessary to sustain the formation of indigenous priests & other religious vocations in the seminaries of developing countries world-wide.
