Congregation of Our Lady of the Missions

The Order was founded at Lyons, France in 1861 by Euphrasie Barbier, in religion Mother Mary of the Heart of Jesus. It was introduced to Australia in the Archdiocese of Perth from Christchurch, New Zealand by Bishop Matthew Gibney in 1897.
