Federation of Dominican Sisters of Australia

The Order of Preachers, Dominicans, was founded by St Dominic in 1206 at Prouille, France. The Dominican Sisters of Western Australia were founded from New Zealand by Mother Gabriel Gill at Greenough in the Geraldton Diocese in 1899, and the first foundation in Perth was at Bedford in 1941.
