Society of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart

Founded by Fr Jules Chevalier in 1854 at Issoudun, France. It was introduced into Australia in the Archdiocese of Sydney from France by Fr (Later Archbishop) Louis-Andre Navarre in 1885. First WA community situated at Leonora in 1911-1913. Next WA community established at Lynwood-Langford Parish in 1988.
