Welcome. Happiness is something we all want for ourselves and for others. The search for happiness is a natural desire planted deep within us to know the truth about ourselves, and to warn us when we are heading in the wrong direction. Some see happiness as endless fun and excitement. That sort of happiness doesn't last. True happiness is about personal integrity and confidence to handle the ups and downs of life. Of course sorrow comes into the lives of all of us at some stage. We need to reach deep within ourselves to find the strength to move through the suffering and gain the happiness we were meant to have. Let me assure you, God is a great source of strength, who will help you through the hard times. I'm Barry Hickey, Catholic Archbishop of Perth.
